BTEC Level 3 Sub Diploma in Sport

Course content & format

The Level 3 Certificate is a one year course. The course deals with the scientific themes and concepts of sport and exercise science and aims to provide studies in sport which are directly related to the changing needs of employers in specific areas of the sport science industry.

Modules studied include:

Principles of Anatomy and Physiology in Sport

The Physiology of Fitness

Assessing Risk in Sport

Fitness Testing for Sport and Exercise

Learn in a real working environment with the latest global fitness equipment to ensure industry ready skills. Teaching is complimented by instruction from industry specialists with relevant sector experience.

Learners are required to have 4 GCSEs at grade D-G and will also be required to undertake an interview and assessment. Candidates will be expected to be enthusiastic about embarking on a career in the sports sector.
