Level 2 Award Media

Course content & format

This course is designed to introduce students to the world of theoretical and practical media work. You will complete the units through a number of hands on projects including animation, music video, documentary and advertising. You will learn to script, shoot and edit video and create page layout using the latest digital media technology.

Your unique experience

This course is housed in our new college building in the heart of Ashton Town Centre and our facilities and equipment are of industry standard. You will be working alongside other students who are studying at Level 3 in vocational or A Level subject areas, so expectations are extremely high and the work is near professional standard. We are proud of our history of nurturing students beyond their expectations, through this level 2 programme and onto higher levels of study in the Creative programme area.

Good verbal and written communication skills

What can I do next?

After completing this course, students go on to a variety of extended diploma courses in Creative Studies, some may progress into other extended diploma subject areas within the college, apprenticeships or employment.
