Course content & format

The course covers the following units:

Visual Recording in Art and Design

Materials, Techniques and Processes in Art and Design

Production Techniques for Fashion and Clothing

Your unique experience

Learn, develop and use a broad range of skills and techniques as you respond to a range of creative challenges

Assigned a Personal Tutor and a Progress Tutor to look after your pastoral and course requirements

Opportunities to define and work towards personal development and progression goals

Course includes coursework, practical tasks, group work, presentations and trips

Learners must have;

5 GCSE’s grade 4 or above (including English and Maths at grade 4)

A previous art and design GCSE at grade 4 or above or similar is preferred and/or a passion and interest in the subject

Successful interview with a fashion tutor (bring a portfolio of your art and design work)

Good verbal and written communication

Good drawing skills are a bonus

What can I do next?

Direct access to employment within the creative art and design industries

Progression onto the 60 credit course.
