Learners must have; 5 GCSE’s grade 4 or above (including English and Maths at grade 4) A previous art and design GCSE at grade 4 or above or similar is preferred and/or a passion and interest in the subject Successful interview with a fashion tutor (bring a portfolio of your art and design work) Good verbal and written communication Good drawing skills are a bonus

Visual Recording in Art and Design

Materials, Techniques and Processes in Art and Design

Production Techniques for Fashion and Clothing

Special Features

Students are expected to have a basic sewing kit which includes scissors ,unpicker ,pins, needles ,tailor’s chalk and a basic art kit which includes pencils, eraser, sharpener, fine liner, coloured pencils and/or markers, glue stick, a USB memory stick and/or cloud storage.
