Year 10 pupils research next step to college

School pupils from across the local area were inspired by Clarendon Sixth Form College to think about their futures at the Tameside careers and apprenticeships exhibition on Thursday 13th June.

Over 1,000 pupils visited the annual event, which is organised by Tameside Council, and engaged in a range of exciting activities hosted by employers and careers organisations.

Clarendon Sixth Form stands included a virtual reality gaming workshop, photo booth, robotic ‘Faro’ arm demonstration and quick reaction test, to give pupils an insight into college life and career pathways.

Jennifer Massey, school liaison coordinator at Tameside College, said: “Each year the college attends this event, it grows and gets even better than the last. We were really pleased to be able to give school pupils an opportunity to experience what it’s like to be a college student, the amazing equipment we have to offer and what we can do to help them achieve success.”
