Former student has ‘picture-perfect’ career

A former Clarendon Sixth Form College photography student is working with some of the biggest sports organisations in the UK as a professional sports photographer

Matthew, who left Clarendon Sixth Form College two years ago to study photojournalism at the University of South Wales, is contracted with Focus Images Ltd and has already covered premier league football matches, cycling and boxing.

Matthew said: “Studying at Clarendon Sixth Form College boosted my confidence massively; I remember beginning my course with an open mind and without my own style of photography. After 2 years photographing all sorts of subjects I found myself interested in the storytelling style associated with photojournalism. I believe in hard work and taking on as many opportunities as you can.”

After completing university, Matthew plans to become a full time sports and reportage photographer, capturing headline stories across the world.
